Kenny Bedford is a Traditional Owner of the Meuram Tribe of Erub (also known as Darnley Island).  He has extensive experience in Torres Strait commercial and traditional fisheries development and management.  Kenny has held a number of local and regional leadership roles including responsibility for the Fisheries Portfolio for almost a decade as an Executive Board Member of the Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA).  As the founder of his consultancy business, Indigenous Initiatives & Innovation, Kenny is sharing his expertise and network to support community fisheries development more broadly.
